Atlas statues commanding prestige above the gate, facade decorated with classicist elements, luxury watch shop on the ground floor: the Andrássy Palace in the heart of the capital, the former Brüll Palace is our new location in the Budapest Football Tales series. The former owner of the elegant mansion in Budapest, was handed over in 1882 based on Mór Kallina's plans at 9 Andrássy Avenue, was Alfréd Brüll (1876–1944), the esteemed president of MTK. In the Andrássy Palace, the now premium office building, MTK club historian and journalist Alfréd Joó recalled the intellectual heritage of the dominant figure of Hungarian sports culture and the tragic fate of Alfréd Brüll who ended up in Auschwitz as a victim of Jewish persecution.
