Sporting Kansas City's Hungarian striker, Dániel Sallói is already on 11 goals in the MLS and will also have a place in the Hungarian national squad for the World Cup qualifiers.

Dániel Sallói scored his 11th goal in Major League Soccer (MLS) while Sporting Kansas City beat FC Dallas 2–0 and leads the Western Conference table with 37 points in 19 games.

In the match, after the Hungarian player of Dallas, Szabolcs Schön's shot, the ball bounced from the post to the goal line, so not much was missing for two Hungarians to score. However, in the end, Kansas City's Dániel Sallói was happy with the victory and his new goal. It is no doubt that the former Újpest striker is playing football in national team form because head coach Marco Rossi indicated on August 5 that he would send an invitation.

"When Marco Rossi first announced a squad for the Nations League matches against Finland and Greece three years ago, I was in it," said Dániel Sallói. "I felt it was a great honor, although I did not play. I've been working ever since to get an invitation again. Like everyone else, I was rooting for the guys at the European Championship, and I was hoping I could get back to them. I have two big dreams. One is to introduce myself to the national team, which I hardly have to describe, and the other is that my father István Sallói has been saying since I was a child that in the history of Hungarian football there are some father-son pairs who have played in national jerseys, but there is none in which both parties scored goals. Since Dad scored against Ukraine, we could be the first pair to achieve that. All I have to do is score a goal and make history! I don't deny it that it's a huge motivation, it would be a pleasure to be back in the squad.”

Sporting Kansas City plays next in the early hours of Thursday morning when it hosts Portland.
