The Hungarian national football team's head coach, Marco Rossi, believes that the match against Serbia was even, but a refereeing error decided in favor of the guests.

"Oh uh, yikes," head coach Marco Rossi sighed as he took his seat at the press conference following the loss to Serbia (0-1).

This match was completely balanced, which the statistics also show. What should have worked better were the last passes, we made a lot of unforced errors. But we improved in ball possession, and we had our opportunities. It is another matter that the Serbians deserved a goal in Mitrović's second big opportunity, but before their goal, I think there was a clear handling, and we lost the match, even though the draw would have been a fair result. Overall, we managed to improve in the game, we were able to resist the opponent's pressure several times, and we improved in possession of the ball. When footballers follow the instructions tactically, I am satisfied, but I'm sorry to say that the video referee made a big mistake," Rossi said. Then, he spoke about the new players and next week's game.”

"I am satisfied with the new players. Callum Styles was in the game more, I feel like he did well. In our system, he is a defensive midfielder, but he can also be a left winger, behind the forward striker, and he can also play a left-wing defender like he did today. He proved that he is a very fast player, and we got a good impression of him. The Northern Irish team is adept at exploiting the empty spaces, and that is what we have to prepare for. I hope that in that match I can count on Willi Orbán as well."

The coach even drew attention to the fact that we shouldn't forget that the players had to stand up against footballers who are at a much higher level.

"Serbia was the opponent. 'The' Serbia whose players signed with Real Madrid and other acclaimed clubs. I may not even know how to do my job, but I think we can be satisfied that we were able to stand up to this team, even though the number of unforced errors has to be reduced. You should never forget who the opponent is; if you think we will beat England or Italy in June, then there is something wrong with you."

In addition to Marco Rossi, the Serbian head coach also evaluated the match.

"I am happy with the match. There is no pressure in the preparation games; you just have to sit back and just enjoy them. Of course, I was angry a few times because we couldn't take advantage of easy situations, which I couldn't accept, but football is like that. We had opportunities for a second goal. Both teams played well. I have a lot of respect for the Hungarian team. With Marco Rossi, the team can achieve great results," said diplomatically Serbian head coach Dragan Stojković after the clash.

The trainer added that he had already substituted some of his players because he made them rest for next week's match against Denmark. Then, after the press conference was over, Stojković repeatedly said in English that Budapest is a lovely city and that he loves being here.
